God invented sex to be a sacred bonding between a man and woman in a committed, covenant relationship, and to reflect His goodness and glory as a form of worship. Sex is good because it is designed by God. Living out the goodness established through God’s design for sex is part of a greater lifestyle of righteousness, fueled by our relationship with Christ and His grace poured out on us.

Chastity is sexual purity. Those who are chaste are morally clean in their thoughts, speech, and behavior. To practice chastity is to develop purity.  Purity is not for the sake of our own sexuality, but for the sake of honoring Christ. Abstaining from sex is not about preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases or infections, stabilizing mental and emotional health, or even merely practicing a set of rules to be a ‘good’ Christian. The focus when abstaining is solely glorifying and magnifying Christ. Purity is for Christ’s glory, not ours.  Christ deserves adoration, and the purity of our life is a way to show him that adoration. The focus should never be on ourselves and what we can or cannot achieve, the focus goes to establishing our relationship with God. There is no moralism. Choosing sexual purity for the glory of Christ, is to choose to genuinely worship Him.

Our beliefs are rooted in Biblical theology. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. We believe that the biblical standards of morality are universal and timeless. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. The word of God is applicable to all generations, to all societies, and to all subcultures.  We realize this platform, and associated belief system, is not for everyone.  In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. This platform is established as another tool for those who are God’s chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that God’s people may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called each of us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
